My Story
Welcome! My name is Laura Devine, and I am the creator of Embodied Homebodies. I've designed this space for individuals seeking a gentle, holistic, and compassionate path to well-being. This includes those navigating persistent physical discomfort, emotional challenges, or the lingering effects of difficult life events.
My approach is profoundly shaped by my own journey: navigating the ongoing demands of achieving digestive harmony and comfort, and experiencing how deeply interconnected our gut and overall well-being truly are. This has been a continuous process of learning and adaptation. These experiences, which include significant personal losses, have been profoundly formative, teaching me about the intricate connections within our body and their influence on our daily vitality. My now almost 10-year-old son often joined in the educational videos I created during the early days of the pandemic, and he's a constant reminder of the resilience and joy that can coexist with life's complexities. These collective experiences are not just part of my past; they are the foundation of my empathy and my commitment to helping others find sustainable healing and peace.
Drawing on my training as an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, with specialized training in Trauma-Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), trauma-informed weightlifting, yoga, and dance, I guide clients through mindful, gentle movement that honors the body's wisdom. This diverse background allows me to tailor approaches that empower you to reconnect with your body and cultivate strength in a way that feels safe and supportive. Beyond movement, I integrate mind-body practices and practical insights into plant-based nutrition, understanding that true well-being encompasses every aspect of our lives.
Embodied Homebodies began during the COVID-19 pandemic, evolving from a space where I found new ways to connect clients to fitness from home. Our home transformed into a multifunctional space for movement, meditation, and wholesome meals, mirroring the holistic integration I now offer.
I firmly believe that elements like joy, laughter, rest, and connection to nature are just as vital as structured exercise. My dedication is to help you cultivate a fulfilling lifestyle where your unique needs are met, allowing you to achieve your wellness goals with gentle support. Join me to explore the limitless possibilities of nurturing your mind, body, and spirit, right from the comfort and safety of your home.
